SUSPICIOUS PERSON SPOTTED IN THE COMMUNITY

Hi all,
I am E-Blasting the following email I received last night. It could be innocent; however, I feel it’s best to err on the side of caution. In today’s world, we all have to be vigilant. This is about protecting our children. Please, if anyone witnesses anything like this, call the police immediately. I would use 911 for this, not the non-emergency number, so the Deputies roll out fast. Protecting our children has to take priority over everything else.

Hi Nancy,

We are sorry to report that we just witnessed a concerning situation while taking our evening walk about 7:45 pm. Several doors down from your house (towards Compton Ln) there was a skinny Latino male w/ a mustache (maybe 5′ 4″) on a tiny child sized, gas-driven motorcycle w/ a loud exhaust. A child’s stuffed animal (Blue’s Clues?) was lashed to the handlebars. The male was way too big for this motorcycle, which caught our attention.

The male was trying to talk to two boys playing on the street. A mom across the street was taking out their trash to the curb, and between the mom’s actions and us walking toward him, he quickly started the tiny, loud motorcycle and tried to speed away, giving us a wide berth. We spoke with the boys and they mentioned that the suspicious male had just rung the doorbell of one of the boys a short time earlier, supposedly asking about a lost golden retriever dog.

An adult on a child-sized motorcycle, a large stuffed animal in view, talking to young children, and looking for a ‘lost dog’ is all very concerning behavior.

Please forward this disturbing situation to the local police covering our neighborhood.
